Alison McInnes MSP - Working for North East Scotland

Fare Funding Deal and Single Outcome Agreements - McInnes

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 30th Jul 2009

Commenting on the Finance Secretary's trip to the North East to

sign single outcome agreements with local councils, Liberal

Democrat MSP for the North East and Local Government

spokesperson Alison McInnes said:

"The next time the Finance Secretary pays us a visit, he should

open his wallet as well as focusing on council paperwork.

"Services have been squeezed as north east councils struggle

with the funding settlement handed down by the SNP Government.

"The north east deserves a fair funding deal from this government.

"It's disappointing that the Finance Secretary has not taken

this opportunity to make a difference to our communities by

changing the funding settlement."

Ends.
