MCINNES: IS SNP'S TOUGH TALK ON CLIMATE CHANGE JUST MORE HOT AIR?12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 23rd Jun 2009 Commenting on amendments lodged ahead of the final vote on the Climate Change Bill tomorrow, Liberal Democrat Climate Change spokesperson Alison McInnes MSP said: "Labour and the SNP are playing political games. They had a chance to vote for a straight 42 per cent target to reduce emissions by 2020 back in May. They both voted it down. "The SNP promised 3 per cent year on year emissions targets in their manifesto. I am giving them the opportunity tomorrow to vote for their own promise. "If they are serious about tough new targets for climate change, then SNP MSPs will back my amendment in the chamber tomorrow. If they don't, then today's tough talk will be exposed as just more hot air." Ends.
