PARLIAMENTARY RECOGNITION FOR PEACOCK VISUAL ARTS12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 3rd Jun 2009 Alison McInnes, North East Scotland LibDem MSP, has tabled a motion marking Peacock Visual Arts' 35th birthday. Mrs McInnes said: "Besides being a great studio for some of the UK's finest artists , Peacock, based in the city centre, also helps young people get involved with new media and film making, runs community projects and hosts an extensive exhibition programme. I wish Peacock continued success in delivering an outstanding programme for the next 35 years and beyond." She continued: "I support Peacock's ambition to develop a new centre for contemporary arts and I hope that ACSEF and Peacock will work together to make sure that a contemporary arts centre is a central part of any development of Union Terrace."
