Lib Dems leading the way in political e-campaigning

12.00.00am GMT Fri 12th Dec 2008

Alison McInnes, Liberal Democrat MSP for North East Scotland has urged people to visit the new and improved party website.

The website now features e-petitions and information about Liberal Democrats across Scotland.

Commenting, Alison McInnes said:

"The Liberal Democrats are leading the way in Scotland in political e-campaigning.

"The website has been overhauled to make sure that people across Scotland can see the great work that Liberal Democrats are doing in the Scottish, Westminster and European Parliaments and local authorities across Scotland.

"People in North East Scotland can now join our e-campaigns against the SNP Government's plots to raise the age for buying alcohol in shops, or sell off Scotland's forests. They can join the campaign to save our Post Offices, which is particularly important in our area, given the geographics and transport links available.

"Liberal Democrats are determined to make it easy as possible for people in the North East of Scotland to join our campaigns. I hope that they will take advantage of the new website."

Ends.
