McInnes Calls for Quick Resolution to Aberdeen Bus Strike12.00.00am GMT Thu 4th Dec 2008 Commenting on reports that bus strikes in Aberdeen over Christmas are set to go ahead after First Bus workers rejected a new pay offer, Liberal Democrat MSP for the North East Alison McInnes said: "It is disappointing that talks have broken down to the point that First Bus employees have resorted to strike action. "These strikes will cause a great deal of disruption in Aberdeen. Many shoppers and commuters rely heavily on the city's Park and Ride system, particularly during the current bad weather and Christmas rush. "I strongly urge First Bus to get back round the table with union representatives to resolve this dispute as quickly as possible." Ends.
