McInnes welcomes new travel centre

5.00.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 16th May 2008

Commenting on Scotrail's announcement that the new travel centre will open at Aberdeen Station this Sunday, Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes said:

"I am pleased that First Scotrail is investing in improved facilities for the north-east. I hope that the new travel centre makes up for the inconvenience suffered by commuters and passengers during the construction works.

"I am also delighted that First Scotrail has ensured that the station is fully accessible for all passengers. The lower ticket desks, hearing loops and blue-ticket parking spaces will make a real difference to many passengers."
