Commenting on environmental statistics showing that 57% of Scots believe climate change is an immediate and urgent problem, Liberal Democrat Climate Change spokesperson Alison McInnes MSP said:
"More people are concerned about climate change than about independence.
"Environmental damage is something that the SNP Government can and should do something about.
"Instead they try to distract people with talk of breaking up the UK, something Scots don't want or need.
"This is a stark message to the SNP- the people of Scotland want something done about climate change. I for one will be pressing the Government for a positive response."
