Maintaining through trains to London essential for Stonehaven and Dundee Travellers - McInnes

Scottish Liberal Democrat Transport Spokesperson and North East MSP, Alison McInnes, has welcomed the support of the Chambers of Commerce in the campaign to save direct trains to London from Aberdeen.
She commented:
"I am pleased to see the campaign to save direct train links between Aberdeen and London step up a gear.
"The North East is an economic power house for the UK. Fast, good quality and direct cross-border transport links are vital to protect the economic value of the whole North East region. Travellers from Stonehaven and Dundee are rightly aghast at any suggestion they might lose through trains.
"If we're to encourage more people to take the train than fly, then maintaining a through-service from Aberdeen, Stonehaven, and Dundee to London will be essential.
"I will fight hard alongside campaigners and councillors on this matter."
