MCINNES CONGRATULATES SAC ON PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Commenting on the Green Gown Award awarded to the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) for climate change research, Liberal Democrat Climate Change spokesperson and MSP for the North East, Alison McInnes said:
"I wish to congratulate all who were involved at the Scottish Agricultural College on winning this prestigious Green Gown Award for their research into the effects of Climate Change and what we can do to combat it.
"The college has produced work that has been rightly rewarded for being best practice amongst further and higher education sectors and I am very pleased that they have been recognised for their exceptional initiative on lowering greenhouse gas emissions amongst the farming community.
"If we are to meet the targets set by the Climate Change (Scotland) Act, the farming community will have an important role to play - the work of SAC will be invaluable in helping them to do that."
