MCINNES WELCOMES NEXT STEP TOWARDS POST OFFICE DIVERSIFICATION FUND

Scottish Liberal Democrat, Alison McInnes MSP for Aberdeenshire has welcomed the consultation for a Scottish Post Office Diversification Fund.
This was a Liberal Democrat win during last year's budget.
Commenting, Mrs McInnes said:
"I encourage Post Offices in the Aberdeenshire area to respond to the consultation. Post Offices, particularly those in remote and rural areas, are often the very heart of the community.
"That is why Liberal Democrats campaigned and won a Post Office Diversification Fund in last year's budget. Now the Scottish Government has launched the consultation that will pave the way for vital support for our Post Offices.
"These are very difficult times for spending in Scotland. But we recognise the major impact Post Offices have in our communities and while modest, we hope this fund will make a difference."
