Alison McInnes, North East MSP and Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson, today pressed the Transport Minister to come to a conclusion on the AWPR inquiry.
Speaking in Chamber this morning she asked
"Would the Minster outline what specific actions he has taken since June to progress the AWPR - a route that is vital to the economic wellbeing of the north east, and can he advise Parliament when he will conclude his consideration of the reporter's findings."
The Minster replied that he hoped to come to a conclusion by the "end of this calendar year."
Commenting afterwards Alison McInnes said:
"Patience is wearing thin in the North East - local people and businesses are fed up with the delays. The economy of the north east will be damaged by this continued prevarication from the minister."
