Temporary site for Mintlaw Post Office is Sought - McInnes

Local MSP, Alison McInnes, has welcomed the news from Royal Mail that they are looking for a temporary base for Post Office services.
Commenting, Mrs McInnes said:
"I wrote to Royal Mail to find out how the residents of Mintlaw were expected to access services at Maud, following the closure of Mintlaw Post Office at such short notice.
"I have been contacted by Royal Mail today with the news that they are currently looking at temporary premises within Mintlaw and are aware that the travel to Maud is restrictive for many residents.
"I am sure local residents will be very relieved if temporary premises are found and in operation within the next few weeks. I am very pleased that Royal Mail has acknowledged the difficulties faced and have acted quickly to alleviate the problem."
