Alison McInnes, local Aberdeenshire MSP, has hailed a masterclass in Entrepreneurship as "innovative and progressive". The class is being run by Young Enterprise Grampian in conjunction with local Academies.
Mrs McInnes commented:
"The Young Enterprise scheme allows groups of 15 and 16 year olds to set up their own company and run it for a year.
"This event, being held at Curl, in Aberdeen, gives the young people some training in key areas of business such as marketing, PR and finance. They are also given the opportunity to participate in challenging business simulations.
"During the recession it is important to plan for a recovery. The north east has had a great record of business start up and this course will help to ensure the next generation is well placed to help us out of the recession."
