Speaking after a meeting today (15 May) between NHS official and politicians, Aberdeenshire MSP Alison McInnes commented:
"The issue of a new health centre for Ellon has been a priority on my agenda since I was elected.
"The town has grown to such proportions that the current health centre is bursting at the seams.
"I took the opportunity at today's meeting, which was attended by the Chief Executive and Chairman of NHS Grampian, to highlight the issues and push for priority to be given to this project, which is well overdue.
"I have made it clear that I will continue to campaign for the new Ellon Health Centre and have requested a breakdown of funding options as well as pushing to get an answer on timescale for the new build."
Malcolm Bruce, MP for Gordon said, following the meeting:
"With such a rapidly growing population in Ellon area, this project must be given the priority it deserves."
