Parliamentary Recognition for Inverurie Fairtrade Status

Alison McInnes has tabled a motion in Parliament congratulating Inverurie on achieving Fairtrade Town status.

Commenting, Alison said:

"I'm delighted that Inverurie has become a Fairtrade Town committed to supporting the principles of long term mutually beneficial partnerships between trade partners and fair prices agreed with producers.

"The Fairtrade scheme brings many benefits to farmers and workers in the developing world. I support the scheme wholeheartedly."
