Commenting after the Scottish Parliament vote on the National Planning Framework, Liberal Democrat Climate Change spokesperson Alison McInnes MSP said:
"Labour and the Tories are making mischief with their amendments. The viability of energy in Scotland in years to come is too important an issue to play games with.
"Any discussion of nuclear power would undermine the total commitment that is needed to develop safe, renewable energy and distract from investment in making homes more energy efficient.
"Liberal Democrats are committed to a green future for Scotland. This doesn't include any new nuclear power."
