PO consultation: McInnes urges local responses

Responding to news that the Post Office is consulting regarding the proposed Post Office outreach services in Rothienorman and Cuminestown, Aberdeenshire MSP Alison McInnes said:
"It is very important that local residents make their voices heard. We all regret the restriction in services, however at this stage we must ensure that the new arrangements serve the communities as well as possible.
"The Rothienorman outreach services, at a mobile in the Main Street car park, will be available at about 50 yards from the current Rothienorman branch. The Cuminestown outreach services will be at the Commercial Hotel Car Park, about 150 yards from the current Cuminestown branch.
"I would encourage residents to consider the proposed opening times and give the Post Office their thoughts as to whether this will adequately meet their needs."
The proposed Rothienorman opening hours are as follows: Monday and Wednesday, 09:00-11:30; Tuesday and Thursday, 12:45-15:15; Friday 09:00-11:00.
The proposed Cuminestown opening hours are: Monday and Wednesday, 12:30-15:00; Tuesday and Thursday, 09:15-11:45; Friday 12:00-14:00.
