SNP must not delay on road safety improvements: McInnes

Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes has backed the campaign to upgrade the A82, one of Scotland's most dangerous roads. Mrs McInnes has tabled questions in the Scottish Parliament to see if the Scottish Government will meet the target finish dates for two key upgrades.
Commenting, Mrs McInnes said:
"The A82 is a notoriously dangerous route and I have no hesitation in adding my voice to the local campaign for urgent upgrades to this road.
"I am concerned that the SNP will use the Strategic Transport Projects Review to delay a handful of key projects, including two planned upgrades to the A82, at Crianlarich and Pulpit Rock.
"I will not allow the SNP to stall on improvements that are critical to protecting public safety on the roads. I will be pressing the Government for confirmation that upgrades to the A82 will go ahead as planned and within an agreed timescale."
